How are they formed? Ruby Fuchsite, a form of Mica, is formed under intense heat and pressure when tectonic plates smash into each other, creating a shimmery mineral sheet made up of magma from hot gasses and vapors. Ruby Fuchsite gets its color when chromium replaces on of the alumium atoms in the Mica formula producing a green hue and the pink are actual rubies that get trapped in the Mica during formation.
