Labradorite: A Stone of Many Colors

Labradorite is one of the coolest stones around! Named for the place it was first discovered, Labrador, Canada, Labradorite possesses some of the most incredible iridescent hues such as blues, greens, yellows and even sometimes purple.

Labradorite gets its many colors and iridescence from tiny fractures in the crystal’s structure that formed during the creation of the stone. These fractures reflect light in many different directions, giving the stones their beautiful hues.
