Faces in the Ledges
Worden’s Ledges Loop Trail in Hinkley Reservation located in Northeast Ohio is like entering another world. Hiking enthusiasts and rock climbers alike love this natural playground.
Along the trail, you will find carvings from the 1940s that include faces of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, as well as a sphinx, pirate ship a crucifix and more!
Worden’s Loop was named after the original owner of the land, Hiram Worden, and all of the carvings were done by his son-in-law, Noble Stuart.
There are many hidden carvings in the ledges which is a fun scavenger hunt while you’re hiking.
