Dalmatian Jasper

Dalmatian Jasper is not really Jasper but is made up of Feldspar. Feldspar is igneous rock that forms when magma cools or in veins of other rocks from high heat and pressure. Feldspar is also found in sedimentary rocks that underwent the hydrothermal process. Dalmatian Stone gets its color from inclusions from minerals such as tourmaline.

Dalmatian Jasper is found in Chihuahua, Mexico,  and gets its name from its likeness to the spots on Dalmatian dogs. Dalmatian Jasper is used to make many types of jewelry and is said to aid in grounding and protection for the wearer.
